The Core Somatic, Psychological & Ecological Pillars at Casa Azul
I. Restoring Social Belonging & Cognitive Clarity
Natural ecosystems operate through mutual co-existence. Immersing teams and individuals within deep forest environments verifiably reduces Default Mode Network (DMN) hyperactivity, calming the neurological systems responsible for anxiety and overthinking. By stepping away from hyper-accelerated modern environments, our immersions dissolve psychological alienation, restoring systemic mental health and a profound sense of communal belonging.
II. Cultivating Pro-Environmental Empathy
True sustainability is born from a raw, sensory connection to the soil. Through targeted, tactile interactions with local biodiversity—including botanical tracking, wildlife observation, and seasonal resource mapping—our clients develop a verifiably stronger cognitive and emotional investment in regional conservation.
III. Building Strategic Cohesion & Humility
Witnessing the complex, self-regulating balance of the natural world fosters deep systemic humility. This profound sensory immersion translates directly into high-trust professional collaboration, seamless team integration, and a restored reverence for our communities, organizational structures, and elders.
Our Cross-Disciplinary Methodology
Casa Azul’s slow, regenerative immersions are curated alongside preeminent global experts in contemporary fine art, applied ecology, ethnobotany, and ancestral science. We offer conscious organizations, modern leaders, and discerning travellers an exclusive, scientifically backed portal into the living methodologies of environmental ambassadorship.
Remembering our evolutionary history forces a vital cognitive shift: moving away from consumer-driven extraction models and toward an innovative, regenerative circular economy that secures ecological viability and economic abundance for generations to come.
The Sovereign Code of the Wild: Our Circular Promise
At Casa Azul and Eimyrja, our dedication to the earth is a disciplined operational blueprint that guides us in how we consciously live our lives, how we choose to do our immersion, who we collaborate with, what you will find at our events, how we handle our land, and formulate our products.
Honouring the Individual Plant: In the curation of our Eimyrja™ Wild Nordic Blends, we never over-harvest from a single plant. We respect the sovereign intelligence of the flora, taking only what is needed, ensuring the mother plant remains healthy, vibrant, and undisturbed. We only harvest with care and intention and invite you to do the same.
A Strict 'Leave No Trace' Absolute: Whether guiding an executive retreat deep into the old-growth forests or foraging wild botanicals, we practice a non-negotiable Leave No Trace policy. We enter the wild as silent observers and guests, leaving the landscape exactly as we found it.
Full Structural Circularity: We operate a fully circular model of sustainability across our entire ecosystem. This absolute zero-waste philosophy governs our botanical blends, our premium eco-luxury packaging, and every intimate corporate meeting or cultural event hosted at our farm in Aurskog-Høland.
Casa Azul Sanctuary & Eimyrja
Casa Azul is the sanctuary; Eimyrja is the wilderness re-introduced.
The Brand Architecture
Based in Aurskog-Høland, Norway, Casa Azul functions as a premier eco-cultural sanctuary and a scalable ecosystem for regenerative hospitality. We serve as a physical and digital bridge between the pristine wilderness of the North and deep within the jungle of the Brazilian Amazon, interweaving a global network of private clients, visionary investors, and regional land stewards. Our vision is to inspire presence.
Our vision is to inspire, and our Sanctuary was initiated to rest the nervous system and create curiosity surrounding nature, traditions, and rites.
While Casa Azul provides the physical sanctuary for land-based research and sensory regulation, Eimyrja serves as our connection to the wild re-introduced—distilling this raw environmental intelligence into sensory experience and ritual. Eimyrja offers premium, tangible tools for human optimisation.
The story behind Emiyrja
My name is Jenny Marie Hviding and I am the founder of Casa Azul and Eimyrja. I am an artist and researcher who has been studying herbalism with the Huni Kuin, Noke Koí and Yawanawás in the Brazilian Amazon for the last 4 years and in the Mata Atlantica, (BR) before that. Living in between Brazil and Norway for the last 20 years, my understanding of the forest as a non-human intelligence has widened, as well as my curiosity for the landscape surrounding me.
The Indigenous living ancestral traditions have not only made me search deeper for my own roots and traditions, but they are a reminder of the importance of fighting for one's culture and remaining connected to the earth. And it has become important for me to gently nudge people back into connection with her. Through meetings around the fire, through rituals, through being present in our bodies and minds.
Casa Azul and Eimyrja are about connection, unwinding, knowledge of the past into the present, it's about human optimisation, neuroscience and contemporary thinking meeting our generational knowledge. Casa Azul and Eimyrja explore our connection to our food, what we put on our skin, how we eat, how we relate to the land around us, what we know about the herbs growing in the woods, in the garden and in your wild meadow.
So after years of studying the traditional Indigenous practice of smoke cleansing, with the usage of Sepa (Protium heptaphyllum tree) and other various local Amazonian plants, I felt the need to work with my own traditional herbs here in the North. As a result a deep personal reconnection started over the last years.
I read everything I could find about women and our role in Norse society, about prayers, old traditions and rites. I researched about rituals and Norse herbalism, and I over time developed the Nordic Wilderness blends (Includes: herbal wilderness teas and hydrosols, body scrubs, body butter and body oils), and eventually found our practice of Eimilauga. This spoke so deeply to me and I decided now was the time to create something to honor that and start reviving these traditions. And Eimyrja™ The Nordic Wilderness Blends was born.
Our goal here in Casa Azul and Eimyrja, would be for more of us to enhance our daily quality of life, living in presence through inspiration of these slow rhythms and in season with nature.
And hopefully you can feel the forest around you differently, not just as a beautiful backdrop for an image or a quick gaze; but something that is a part of you, of all of us.
